Country Fact Sheets on Waste Policies - Edition 2009

The ETC/SCP has been working in cooperation with the countries on the update of the revised country fact sheets on waste prevention based on the outcomes of the Eionet Workshop held back in June 2008. In accordance with the preferences and priorities, the 2009 edition of the fact sheets presents information on the legislative framework on waste and waste management plans for many European countries. More specific information is included on legislation, policies and instruments for waste prevention and for the management of (biodegradable) municipal waste and construction and demolition waste. The 2009 edition of the fact sheet includes the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey. We would like to thank the valuable cooperation of all the experts from these countries who provided inputs.
