New knowledge on waste prevention

Prevention of waste is a difficult discipline, and there is a large need for more information in the EU Commission and in the different European countries on waste prevention instruments and their effect. This is why the European Environment Agency has decided that the European Topic Centre on Waste and Material Flows should enhance its competencies in this field by collecting knowledge of waste prevention success stories in the European countries.
