06 Apr 2013	Managing municipal solid waste – a review of achievements in 32 European countries In 2011, the European Commission and the EEA agreed to enhance efforts to improve knowledge on implementation of waste policies through a joint pilot project. The pilot project includes a task to review municipal solid waste management in EEA member countries, using indicators, country fact sheets and relevant European Commission studies. The ETC/SCP has assisted the EEA in its work and has undertaken the country reviews. (more...)

24 Jan 2013	How policy makers can shape the values of European consumers This paper argues that since policy makers are already influencing the values and perceptions that influence consumption behaviour, they have the opportunity to take a pro-active stance and develop a cohesive strategy to enable and re-enforce sustainable consumer behaviour through an increased awareness and active use of the evidence and understanding of human culture, especially values and behavioural change.
